Catherine Geanuracos

Catherine Geanuracos builds companies, technologies, and campaigns that respond to the most urgent issues of our times. She's currently working on multiple projects supporting Public Product Organizations, both as a direct consultant to social impact technologies, and by bringing the Foundation for Public Code's code management and governance standards from Europe to the United States.
Catherine previously focused on no-code workflow software for real-time digital transformation in large jurisdictions as CEO and Co-founder of CityGrows, and on democratizing public procurement as Interim CEO of Avisare. For the city of Los Angeles, she served as VP of the Innovation and Performance Commission, and was a member of the Mayor's Technology Advisory Council.
She is a board member and advisor to startups in mobility (Metrolla), policy intelligence (Legible by UpVote), community climate resilience (Fortifyy) and public sector communications (Switchboard Live), and is a board member (and was Chair and Vice Chair of the Board) of CicLAvia, the largest open streets nonprofit in North America.
She's been nationally recognized for creativity in civic technology, community engagement, entrepreneurship, procurement, open data and transparency.
Catherine has a Master's in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College, Columbia University.
